Privacy Policy

PPT Canvas ("we", "us") operates https://pptcanvas.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how third-party advertising partners may process data when ads are shown in our service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the service:
- Account information: your name, email address and avatar as provided by the OAuth provider (Google, GitHub or Microsoft) you use to sign in.
- Content you create: presentations you generate or edit, uploaded materials such as images and documents, and associated metadata.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser type, language preference, IP address, and diagnostic logs.
2. Advertising Partners and Third-Party SDKs
We work with third-party advertising partners to display ads in parts of our service. When ads are served, our partners — including Waffo and the ad networks it mediates — may automatically collect and process:
- Device identifiers, such as Google Advertising ID (GAID), Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or vendor identifiers (IDFV), and other anonymous device IDs.
- IP address and coarse geographic location derived from it (country/region level).
- Device characteristics: model, operating system and version, screen size, carrier, language and time zone.
- Ad interaction data: impressions, clicks and conversion events, used to measure performance, combat fraud, limit ad frequency and, where you have consented, to personalize the ads you see.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Operate, maintain and secure the service;
- Generate, store and deliver the presentations you create;
- Authenticate you and manage your account;
- Measure service performance and diagnose problems;
- Display and measure advertising, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We share data only with service providers acting on our behalf:
- Authentication: Clerk;
- Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel and Cloudflare;
- AI processing: model providers used to generate presentations and images;
- Advertising: ad partners such as Waffo, as described in Section 2;
- Other parties where required by law, or to protect our rights and safety.
5. Advertising Choices
Where required by law we request your consent before serving personalized ads; otherwise ads are served on a non-personalized basis.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings — for example "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android, "Limit Ad Tracking" / "Ask Apps Not to Track" on iOS — or via industry tools such as aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, local storage and software development kits (SDKs) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, analyze usage and deliver advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break functionality.
7. Data Retention
Account and content data are retained while your account is active. You can delete your presentations at any time from the dashboard. If you request account deletion, we remove or anonymize associated data within 90 days, except where longer retention is required by law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. Users in the EEA/UK may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority; California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
9. Children's Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (TLS), access controls and least-privilege credentials — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Transfers
Our infrastructure and providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
