Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-10
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the content and behavior that are prohibited on PPT Canvas (https://pptcanvas.com). It applies to everything you submit to the service — prompts, uploaded materials, generated presentations, and any other content. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Overview
The six categories of prohibited content below apply regardless of whether the content is produced by you directly or generated by AI on your behalf. Attempting to circumvent these rules — for example by obfuscating words, misspelling, or using role-play framing to disguise a prohibited request — is itself a violation. We may update this policy as new risks emerge; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not use the service to create, upload, request, or distribute content in any of the following categories.
2.1 Sexually Explicit Content
Do not generate or upload pornographic or sexually explicit material, including explicit depictions of sexual acts, or sexualized depictions of people without their consent. This includes prompts intended to produce such content.
2.2 Violent and Graphic Content
Do not generate content depicting extreme violence, gore, mutilation, torture, or death inflicted on real or realistic people, or content that glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm. Documentary, educational, or historical treatment of violence may be acceptable where the purpose is clearly legitimate.
2.3 Hate Speech
Do not generate content that attacks, demeans, or dehumanizes people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation, or content that promotes hateful ideology or discrimination against such groups.
2.4 Child Safety
We have zero tolerance for content that endangers minors. Do not generate, upload, or share any content that sexually exploits or endangers children, including any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether real, synthetic, or AI-generated. We report suspected child exploitation to relevant authorities and hotlines such as NCMEC (missingkids.org) as required by law. Attempts to seek such content result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, reports to law enforcement.
2.5 Deepfakes and Impersonation
Do not create synthetic media that impersonates a real, identifiable person in ways that are deceptive or harmful — including fake statements, actions, or events they never said or did — and do not misrepresent AI-generated content as genuine human work where such disclosure is required. Parody, satire, and clearly fictional depictions may be acceptable when unmistakably labeled and not intended to deceive.
2.6 Copyright and Trademark Infringement
Do not use the service to reproduce copyrighted works (text, images, brands, logos, characters) in ways that infringe the rights of their owners, or to generate content designed to imitate a trademark or brand so closely that it confuses consumers about origin or endorsement. You are responsible for the materials you upload.
3. Content Moderation Process
We use a layered moderation process:
- Automated pre-generation screening: user prompts are checked by a third-party content-safety service (Waffo) before any AI generation begins; flagged prompts are blocked or held for review.
- Model-side safety: the underlying AI providers apply their own usage and safety policies.
- Human review: content flagged by automated systems or reported by users is reviewed by our team, which removes violating content and applies enforcement.
We continuously tune these layers and may add or change moderation measures as the service evolves.
4. Enforcement
When we find a violation of this policy, we take action proportionate to the severity and context, including:
- issuing a warning and requiring removal of the violating content;
- removing generated content or uploaded materials;
- temporarily suspending an account;
- permanently terminating an account and refusing future access.
Severe violations — such as child safety offenses or credible threats of real-world harm — result in immediate termination without prior warning, and where required we report to the relevant authorities. We also respond to valid legal process, including takedown notices and court orders.
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content on PPT Canvas that violates this policy, report it to us:
- Email [email protected] with the subject line "AUP Report";
- include a link to the offending presentation (or other identifying details), a description of the violation, and screenshots if possible;
- for urgent child-safety issues, mark your report "URGENT — CHILD SAFETY" so it is prioritized.
Reports may be made anonymously; providing contact information lets us follow up for clarification and is helpful. Please do not include sensitive personal data beyond what the report needs.
6. Response Time Commitment
- We acknowledge reports within 24 hours.
- We complete the review and — where a violation is confirmed — remove the content and apply enforcement within 72 hours of acknowledgment.
- Reports involving imminent safety risks, especially child safety, are treated as top priority and actioned immediately upon verification, including escalation to authorities where required.
7. Appeals
If your prompt was blocked by automated screening, or your content or account was actioned under this policy, and you believe this was an error, you may appeal by replying to the notice you received or by emailing the address below — include the reference code shown when a prompt was blocked (for example REQ_…) or your account details. We review appeals within 5 business days and restore content or access where the decision was wrong.
