PDF dark mode reader
Invert a PDF onto a dark background so night reading is easier on your eyes. It runs in the browser — nothing is uploaded.
100% on your device — the file never leaves this browser tab.
Read PDFs without a white page
A typical PDF is a bright page. At night, or on a long review, that white field is what tires your eyes — not the words.
This reader flips the page colors in place. Text stays sharp, the background goes dark, and the original file is left untouched. You are viewing it, not exporting a new PDF.
Pick a theme if the default warm invert feels too yellow or too cold. Warm cuts blue light; classic is a straight invert; blue and green shift the tint for longer sessions.
Private by default
Rendering happens locally with PDF.js. The document is not sent to a server.
No install
Open the page, drop a file, and scroll. It works in current desktop and mobile browsers.
Easier on the eyes
A dark field reduces glare when you read papers, contracts, or slide exports after dark.
Free
No account, no page cap, and no watermark on the view.

FAQ
- Does this upload my PDF?
- No. The file is read in your browser and drawn on a canvas. Closing the tab drops it.
- Does it change the original file?
- No. Dark mode is a view. Download the same PDF you opened if you need to share the source.
- Can I use it on a phone?
- Yes. Open the page, pick a PDF from your files, and scroll. Pinch-level zoom is available with the zoom controls.
- What about large documents?
- Pages render as they approach the viewport, so a long PDF does not have to paint every page up front.
- Which themes are available?
- Warm, classic, blue, and green. Warm is the default for night reading.
